Positive Words

Words can bless a person or they can curse a person. Words can build a person or destroy a person. This is a day and age in which sarcastic humor is the thing to do. We need to be cautious on how we bring our message across especially all of us who knows the Truth and the Truth that has set us free. A wrong choice of words may sometime leave behind permanent damage. Proverbs 16:24 says "Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." I am not saying that we need to go around the bush but my emphasis is in using the right choice of words.

Words will heal or make you sick. How you speak about yourself and others has a direct bearing on what the mind creates. Words that ridicule, torment, harass and tear down a person will never bring life. Thoughts that are always fearful and bitter will never remove fear and worry. The Lord says our thoughts are not His, but they can be His if we will change our way of thinking and speaking. We have what we have because we speak into existence.

Some once said, "Speak kind words and you will hear kind echoes". How true is that statement. It is echoing what the Word of God said in Matthew 7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want people to do for you, do the same for them, because this summarizes the Law and the Prophets".

A lot of trouble in this world is caused by combining a narrow mind with a wide mouth.

I pray that the Lord will give us a tongue that is slow to speak and ear that is ever ready to listen.

Be Blessed.
