Recently I read about an advertisement published in the May 30,2008 edition of Entertainment Weekly that states "Sharing is A Nice Gesture. Stupid But Nice". What an insane tag line. I wonder what is the world turning itself into. Since childhood, our parents reminded us on the importance of sharing as a great virtue. But the world is now teaching our children to be selfish via magazines advert and other media.
The advert looks harmless but the words may change the mindset of the readers especially the young one. We need to be always on-guard. As I always tell my friends, the world is ever ready to teach our children it's own corrupt ways. We need to be every ready to educate our children especially in the ways of God.
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven . . . For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also"(Matthew 6:19-21).
