Developing an attitude of gratitude in all situations is not an easy task. It is easy to be grateful during good times but it is always a challenge to demonstrate gratefulness in difficult moments.
The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus”. Take note that the scripture says “IN EVERYTHING”. It talks about in good times and in bad times. Then the verse go one and stress that it is the “WILL” of God. So if you are seeking for the will of God in a situation, this is the word for you....GIVE THANKS.
A grateful heart will lead to happiness. To develop an attitude of gratitude is a choice one has to decide. It is a choice that we make on how we respond towards a situation. Abraham Lincoln said “I reckon a man is about as happy as he sets himself out to be”.
Happiness is a product of gratefulness. You can choose to be grateful... and happiness will follow.
